Case Studies on Grassroots Democracy Implementation and Recommendations for the Development and Implementation of the Law on Grassroots Democracy Implementation

This study conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Viet Nam and the People’s Participation Working Group (PPWG). The research selects seven different case studies in Quang Tri province and Hanoi city to study and analyze, thereby generalizing, giving eight lessons and recommendations directly related to the institutionalization of the conditions that motivate people in exercising the democratization for the project to enhance the Law on implementing the grassroots democracy. The study is part of the Viet Nam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) research program in Viet Nam, with financial support from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Irish Embassy in Viet Nam.
